Day 22: Whit had a very uneventful day today after a weekend of stressful moments. He has gained enough weight to be a solid 3lbs 2oz. His “episodes” decreased significantly from what we were experiencing over the weekend. He ate great today and had some decent ‘movements’. Thank you all for the offered prayers to our little man. We cannot adequately explain their meaningful impact. Speaking of little, I thought I’d share a perspective photo. This is one of Whit’s diapers next to a size 0 preemie diaper that is sized for up to six pounders. Translation, most newborns wouldn’t fit this zero sized diaper. His diaper is still pretty big on him as you may have seen in prior photos. If you don’t have any diapers around for perspective imagine the 0 being your palm and Whit’s diaper being smaller than your palm. #boyslife #nicubaby #preemie #NICU

Day 21: Thank you all for the daily prayers, please keep them coming. Whit had a tough day today maintaining his vitals. Today seemed to be a constant state of beeps and alarms for us. Whit had a bunch of self-resolves and even one apnea spell (his second so far) so lil man is just having a tough 24 hours. These things are pretty normal as pooping or even a deep sleep can throw off heart or breathing rates. Not a favorite day, for us, but we anticipated that not everyday would be as peaceful as they’ve been this past week. Here is a photo of him earlier in the day all sprawled out snoozing. Day 20: lil man finally hit the 3lb mark today. We are quite excited. Was not the most harmonious morning as Whit was quite restless with dad. After some bodily movements on the dad Whit seemed to settle in for a more restful day with mom. Thank you to Mrs Kathy for watching the bigger boys much of the day. They were happy to catch up with little bro in the evening. Rhys got to touch Whit’s toes. Plus the boys each now have a long awaited Icee drink. #boyslife #preemie #nicubaby #NICU
